When I last visited with my friend Goldie, the overweight kitty who lives in Farmington Hills, MI at the Backdoor Friends Cat Shoppe, he was just getting accustomed to his new friends and his new diet. Well, I'm pleased to report that he's coming out of his shy shell more and more all the time.
Here's Goldie with Backdoor Friends Cat Shoppe owner and Rescue board member, Anne Klein. He'd come waddling out from his cozy tent/bed without coaxing, mewing as he walked. He had a great deal to say to me, and he was overjoyed when he saw that Anne had gotten his comb. (Oh, how I wish one of my cats would be so happy to have a nice combing!) Anne told me Goldie hasn't quite made his way to the front where the Shoppe is located, but he's come pretty close. I mentioned to Goldie that his cousin, Abbi, is soon to join him as far as dieting is concerned.
Goldie hasn't been weighed since my last report, but I was told he'll get a weigh in soon.
While Goldie isn't yet up for adoption, he's got some friends who'd love to meet you, including friends I've featured in the past: Jesse, Caboodle, Selah Joy, Chi Chi and Yolanda. If you or somebody you know would like to adopt a Backdoor Friends rescue kitty, call 248-442-0259, and/or visit their list of adoptable cats on Petfinder.
Hey Ateret, Hey Livia, Hey Abbi, Jet here.
ReplyDeleteHappy, healthy and abundant new year to you!
Wow, Goldie has a regal look about him. He reminds Mom of her first Florida feline, Mugs, only in gold, rather than grey/black!
Goldie, you are a handsome boy and you are so lucky to have those people taking such good care of you. Have a great day.
ReplyDeletePoor overweight kitty. glad he is coming out of his shell. =^..^=
ReplyDeleteTW loves when stores have cats in them. There was a fat cat in the liquor store and now that the store is closed TW is wondering where her little friend went.
